Malethola Matube is an astute digital change driver with 22 years’ experience working in challenging roles providing bespoke business solutions to
multi-sector companies.

She has a versatile and rich experience covering product innovation, strategy, development and management in ICT (Information, Communication & Technology; telecommunications, skills development, entrepreneurship, sport and textile industries.

Her career in innovation and technology launched in 1999 as an Executive Personal Assistant at Vodacom and grew along the company ranks within the sales, marketing; products and services divisions from Customer Care Official, Sale Administrator, Business Consultant, Product Administrator, Product Specialist, to Wholesale Service Development Specialist in 2009.

In her 9 years at Vodacom she acquired the much needed skills, knowledge and experience in sales, marketing, product development, product management and product marketing; leadership and management.

Her highlights at Vodacom include being one of the youngest employees nominated for a Succession Development Program in 2002 where she was amongst the future company leaders identified to be groomed to take the company forward, completing her Software Engineering Diploma in 2004 at the National Institution Of Information Technology based in India and the post graduate qualification in 2005: the Management Advanced Program at Wits Business School.

Post Vodacom, Malethola thrived in product development, management and marketing spear heading multiple Voice, Messaging and International Calling projects in the telecommunication industry in the employment of MTN, Telkom and Cell C.

Malethola progressed from Product Specialist to Developer and Product Manager across the three portfolios. In this period she was instrumental in device launches and creating products and services that drove customer, shareholder and company value; as well as seamless customer experience, revenue and profitability.

As a Product Manager she led and worked with various teams, mobile device manufacturers and service providers in South Africa, Africa and Internationally creating and defining customer centric value propositions aimed at positioning each product, service and device as per its capability to achieve and increase subscriber base, revenue and profitability.
The portfolio of products and services included Postpaid, Hybrid/Top-Up, Prepaid, SMS, MMS and MVNO. The device manufacturers she worked with included Samsung, BlackBerry, Huawei and Apple.

In 2015 she took a quantum leap to run her own company full time. Since 2015 to date she has been providing Product Innovation, Strategy, Development, Management and Marketing services through her company: Iketsetse Bo Ka Moso (Pty) Ltd to SMMEs , startups and upcoming entrepreneurs in aid of honing her ICT, innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership, management, philanthropy experience, skills and knowledge. In this period she has been in the forefront of assisting organisations in introducing solutions that contribute towards their innovation, digital strategy, product strategy and financial growth.

She has been instrumental in reviving the textile and clothing industry in South Africa since 2015, innovating in textile and clothing manufacturing. She believes that through manufacturing, South Africa can address its key challenges like joblessness, youth unemployment, poverty and economic development. Her highlights in manufacturing include travelling to Europe in aid of establishing a manufacturing plant in South Africa as part of her vision for igniting manufacturing, youth skills development and township economic development. Her clothing designs continue to be awarded best dressed.

Malethola is very passionate about golf. She continues to utilise the beautiful game to achieve transformation, gender equity and economic development. To date she has travelled in South africa, Africa and internationally focusing on golf business and development. Her highlights in golf include founding Progressive Women In Golf non-profit organisation in the year 2012 which to date has touched over 100 girl children and youth in South Africa; provides a platform for empowered women to learn from each other, collaborate, make a difference and empower others; founding Mzansi Golf Innovation (Pty) Ltd: a golf company that champions golf innovation providing bespoke solutions in golf; being a special guest in girl child and youth development at the Presidential Golf Day hosted by President Cyril Ramaphosa, golf masterclass with the legend Gary Player at his 80th birthday celebration, her progressive 10 years journey enabling girl child from humble beginnings through golf and visiting the Home Of Golf, St Andrews in Scotland, United Kingdom.
